Online Shopping Come To Life — Meet Heather Gray

We think all Jane shoppers could agree—if we could all figure out a way to get paid to shop, we’d be set! Well, that’s exactly what Heather Gray, owner of Shop Suey, did, and the rest is history. 25 years later,  a small business selling purses to people in her community has grown into owning 2 retail stores and an online store. After much success and being featured in countless fashion magazines as the place to shop for celebrity-inspired trends, Heather is back on Jane, offering a unique and elevated shopping experience.

What can our community find in your shop?

“Shop Suey specializes in curating seasonal fashion jewelry and accessories collections. Whether you're shopping for the latest trend or adding a unique holiday item to your wardrobe, you'll find it here!”

How did you decide to become a small business owner?

“I've always loved to shop and I figured out if I could get paid to shop, I'd always be happy. So, I started a little business selling purses to people in my community, and it grew from there into what I'm doing now. 25 years later, I have 2 retail stores and an on online store. I can't imagine doing anything else!”

Are you currently working on any new projects or products?

“I'm working on a 1950's vintage-inspired Christmas earring collection. Think pink pastel Christmas trees, mint green ice skates, and toy soldiers - It's so whimsical and nostalgic. I know the Jane customer will enjoy the new styles!”

What is your favorite thing in your shop at the moment?

“Our Sparkly Ghost Halloween Earrings.”

What or who inspires you?

“The change of seasons inspires me; it always gives me something to look forward to.”

“I feel the Jane staff and the customers really appreciate what I bring to the table. It means the world to me to be appreciated for doing what I love.”

What excites you about your future as a Jane seller?

“The new Jane's curated marketplace in tandem with daily deals sounds like a match made in heaven! I'm excited to carry an evergreen collection on Jane and build my brand in this exciting new online landscape. It's a dream come true!”

What is your favorite thing about Jane?

“The customers are my favorite thing about Jane. Their enthusiasm for all things new, trendy, and exciting is contagious! They inspire me to create new and unique collections to continue to wow them.”

What does it mean to YOU to be a Jane seller?

“Being a Jane seller gives me the most incredible sense of purpose. I feel the staff and the customers really appreciate what I bring to the table. It means the world to me to be appreciated for doing what I love.”

What's one thing you absolutely cannot live without?

“I could not live without laughter.”
