Family-Run, Faith Led — Meet Marcus & Mandy Schoenenberger

Everyone loves a good “Then and Now” story, and Mandy and Marcus Schoenenberger have one for the books. In 2017, after deciding she wanted to find a way to spend more time with her kids, Mandy was determined to find a way to slow down time and still make an income. So, with a leap of faith, Marcus’s business mindset, and a $500 budget, their small business, Threaded Pear, was born. 

Since then, they’ve gone from packaging orders around the kitchen table to working with an amazing staff, doubling their warehouse space in 2022, and donating thousands of products to local women’s shelters and foundations to help homeless teens. And now, they’re on Jane!

What can our community find in your shop?

“We offer clothing, plus sizes, bags, accessories, pouches & patches, plus some fun finds.”

What does a typical "day in your life" look like?

“We start the day helping our 3 kiddos get ready for school (2 in High school and one in Middle now; they are growing too fast ), then head to the office to work with our wonderful team to prepare orders, receive new shipments, and test new samples. Every day is different and unique, which is what we love. Owning a small business means wearing a lot of hats and the ability to change between them continuously. The end of the day always comes out of nowhere, and you never feel like you have everything done.”

Are you currently working on any new projects or products?

“We are always working on new projects and products and have doubled in size this past year as we expand our women's clothing line.”

What is your favorite thing in your shop at the moment?

“Fall is our favorite time of year, and as we bring in our Fall collection, we love everything!”

Jane is back! What excites you about your future as a Jane seller?

“The most exciting thing is knowing people want Jane back! Customers we talk with can't wait as Jane was such a go-to, and they felt lost without it. This will directly benefit us as we resonate very well with the Jane customer base.”

What does it mean to YOU to be a Jane seller?

“We have always been passionate about Jane, as Jane was our very first marketplace. Jane helped us grow our business and support our family, and now multiple other families of our Threaded Pear team members. Jane is more than a place to sell products it's a big part of our story.”

What's one thing you absolutely cannot live without?

“God, family, our great team, and coffee...in that order.”
